Welcome to South Chicago Parents and Friends, Inc.:

South Chicago Parents and Friends became incorporated in 1971 and began providing services to children with mental retardation in 1976.  Located in Chicago’s southeast side, we provide services to residents of South Deering, South Chicago, South Shore, Pullman and Roseland communities.  The individuals we serve, adults and seniors with developmental disabilities, have incomes that fall below the federal poverty line limits.

Currently, we support approximately 245 individuals all having a developmental disability, most having secondary disabilities and/or serious medical issues.

Our mission is simple: South Chicago Parents & Friends supports persons with developmental disabilities , enabling them to become productive, valued members of society.  To accomplish this goal, South Chicago Parents & Friends services allow individuals with disabilities to learn, work, play, and live just like other
members of the community.
