Welcome to South Chicago Parents and Friends, Inc.
South Chicago Parents and Friends, Inc. incorporated in 1971 and began providing services to children with mental retardation in 1976. Our Cap Center, located in Chicago’s southeast side, provides services to residents of South Deering, East Side, Hegewisch, South Chicago, South Shore, Pullman and Roseland communities.
Our newest location, Corona Center, is located at 1175 Central, Building 2, University Park, Illinois. At this location, we provide Developmental Training Services, Employment Services, and Community Support Services.
Currently, we support approximately 375 individuals all having a developmental disability, most having secondary disabilities and/or serious medical issues.
Our mission is simple: South Chicago Parents & Friends supports persons with developmental disabilities , enabling them to become productive, valued members of society. To accomplish this goal, South Chicago Parents & Friends services allow individuals with disabilities to learn, work, play, and live just like other members of the community. |
