Parent Association:

The parents and guardians of individuals receiving services from South Chicago Parents & Friends met as an informal support group in 1982.  During their meetings, they discussed their children's needs and lack of community resources.  As a result, the group established the formal Parent Association, and began fundraising on behalf of South Chicago Parents & Friends.

The Parent Association meets 9 times per calendar year, and hosts 3 fundraisers per calendar year.  They raise funds to help meet the needs of the agency as well as the program participants.

Our Parent Association is consistently looking for new members.  You don't have to be a parent, guardian or family member of an individual with a disability attending South Chicago Parents & Friends to be a member.  You can be a relative, friend, neighbor, or just someone who would like to make a difference.
